Fees:
Your child's music education fees may be tax deductible. Receipts are available on request.

For individual lessons in your home, our rates are $30 per half hour, plus $5 for travel per visit.

Alternatively, two children can learn together in a class of two. Or one child can learn at the piano, while the other works on music theory. In the second half of the lesson, they switch places. So each child benefits from one hour of music education - in your home. The cost is $65 including the travel fee.

How can your child benefit from piano lessons?

With so many entertainment choices - computer games, TV, etc - why should your child learn to play the piano?
Here are some good reasons:

  • Numerous scientific studies have shown that children who take music lessons perform better academically in math, science, reading, and languages. They earn higher SAT scores, and have fewer absences from school.

  • Moreover, 'Musical training during childhood has a significant influence on brain growth', according to Gottfried Schlaug, MD, PhD. (American Academy of Neurology, May 2001)

  • Pianists who play well feel good physically in their arms and hands. Piano playing is a highly enjoyable form of exercise and relaxation.

  • Playing the piano requires mental, physical, and emotional involvement. It can be an enormously refreshing creative outlet - for those who know how.

  • Playing the piano is an excellent way to develop eye-hand coordination, listening skills, and an appreciation of music.

Give your child piano lessons - and a lifetime of musical enjoyment.
